Bibbulmun track adventures.
Prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime as you trek along, all or part of the world's greatest walking track."The Bibbulmun track."
The track is 965 kilometers or 555 miles long, but of course you do not have to hike along it's entire length to appreciate and love the natural beauty of the forests, creeks, sweeping vistas and the native birds and animals.
It is without a doubt one of the most magnificent bush walks found anywhere in the world no matter if you do 1 day treks, 3 day walks or go the whole hog and do the lot. Did you Know?
It takes 1.474,431 steps to cover the track from 1 end to the other.
There are a number of bibbulmun track events throughout the year
You will find out all about them at the official Bibbulmun web site.

Where you start your bibbulmun track adventure is of course up to you.
The usual place to start is at Kalamunda just south of Perth.
Driving down Kalamunda road you will see a road called Mead road. Turn left into Mead road until you come to little hut on the left which contains Bibbulmun track details. Stop here and have a read. You can begin your trek here. There is a track just to the right of the information booth.
This part of the trail meanders its way between Spring Rd and Mundaring Weir Rd until you reach Jorgenson Park.

Option 2. Instead of starting at the information hut continue down Mead road until you see a sign to Jorgenson park, turn left and enter. As you enter you will see some buildings between you and the car park. This is where you start. To the right you will see kids swings and beyond that there is a wide, relitively flat area with a couple of tracks on it. Walk alone the middle track or use the left hand track which is out of sight of the picnic area, continue until you see a sign like this.

You will see little triangle signs on trees and other places and they are there to let you know that you are still on the Bibbulmun-track. Happy trekking.
The Stairway to Heaven just after the start.

Did you Know?
That these stairs were built by prisoners nearing their release time, and they have all been built with local natural materials.
A little further south you will see this type of beautiful countryside near Pemberton. Walking along the Bibbulmun track is a beautiful experience.
There are 48 night shelters along the Bibbulmun track.
The shelters are never more than a days trek apart, in the northern sector they are spaced at 10km/6 mile intervals and in the southern sector 20km/12 miles apart.
