Nannup, Western Australia.

This beautiful, historic town is surrounded by lush forests.

Nannup has many picturesque views and beautiful winding rivers, perfect for both the action holiday enthusiast or for those who simply want to take things a little slower.

This typical country town is a timber town which lies on the Blackwood River approximately 280km south of Perth (about 3 hours drive using the South Western Highway).

Known as the "The Garden Village", its streets come alive with tulips and daffodils during the Flower and Garden Month in August.

The five day 2010 festival is packed with new and exciting activities.

The main street is planted with stunning tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. Highlights include the Holberry House Sculpture Walk, the Nannup Lavender Farm art exhibition, Chestnut Brae’s daffodils and Mossbrook’s award winning garden is country gardens at its best.

Later on in the year is the wildflower season where the surrounding countryside is a blaze of color.

To this very day the town remains an undiscovered jewel in the crown of the South West.

The town is home to many annual events, including the Blackwood Marathon,the Music Festival, Nannup Cup River Race and of course the Forest Rally.

It is an ideal base from which to explore the South West.

The following towns are all within 1 hour's drive:

  • Pemberton (scenic tramway and steam train trips throughpicturesque countryside),

  • Manjimup,

  • Bridgetown,

    Wander the various tracks and bush walks and If and you’re lucky, the legendary Nannup Tiger just might make an appearance as you explore the breathtaking forests.
