The North West. How far is it?

The north and the east Kimberley area are easily the best and most excitingholiday destinations I have ever seen and experienced. It is quite unbelievable just how much there is to see and do. I usually allow 6 weeks for a trip to the north west or the Kimberley but it is too short a time for me.so I usually go there several times a year. The magnificent water ways, the amazing rock formations, the beautiful red gorges. the friendliest of people, the rolling hilly regions, vast grass plains, unique animals seen nowhere else and birds always bring me back, time after time. Kununurra is the best town to base yourself in for exploring the Northern half of the Kimberley which is a very beautiful and unique place. There is plenty to do and see in Kununurra and you should allow at least 3 days just to see what's near to town. And it's not all about big game fishing either, you can dangle a line from the shore or use a small boat and catch more than your share of the big fish, (hook a 'Barra, catch a big cod). Here's Greg again. With a huge grin, in a 10ft runabout and a 12lb Cod.

The north west is much more than just fishing. It's also about the wild, red rocky gorges and amazing landscapes that will enthrall you as you view the scenic wonders of the inland, a landscape that is as wild as the day it was created. You will rapt in what you see in this fantastic wilderness. Did you Know? These gorges, which eroded over millions of years are some of the wildest places on earth. And you can see and experience these places in complete safety and comfort when you use the expert and experienced guides utilized by the local inland tour companies.
Come and have a look at the amazing landscapes ( I love this place )and you won't die wondering what it was like living here a million years ago. The resorts in these north west areas are magnificent and offer great food, drinks, rooms with every modern convenience and all the things you need to enjoy a memorable vacation. I know because I have been up here 7 times and I will be back in the north west shortly. This video with a short intro by Ernie Dingo our greatest indigenous actor and travel guru also features music by the Pigram Bros to guide you around the North West of this great state.
