Pinjarra a great spot for the whole family

Pinjarra just a hop, skip and a jump from Mandurah in the South West.

Located just 86km south of Perth, this is the perfect objective for a quiet holiday or a stopover on your way along the Great Southern Highway.

The town is the centre of the Shire of Murray, is one of the oldest towns in Western Australia and lies on the banks of the Murray River, along the South West Highway.

The beautiful Murray River flows right through the town and offers many pretty sites in which to enjoy a picnic and barbecue.

And the town itself itself has a population of approximately 6640.

One of the major attractions of the area is the famous Peel Zoo, which provides a hands-on experience for its visitors. The zoo which is privately funded focuses on education and conservation, and is well worth a day out! So do check out

Peel Zoo and enjoy their beautiful animals. You will find them at Sanctuary Drive Pinjarra.

Pinjarra suspension bridge Perth getawaysSee the beautiful Murray River located in the Peel region from the water itself. They hire out Kayaks, Canoes, Pedal Boats, and Dinghys so that you can really experience what the Murray River has to offer.

The Murray has an abundance of both wildlife and birds, and frequently receives visits upriver from dolphins.

It's miraculous to have dolphins sitting just off your bow as you glide silently and smoothly on one of the state of the art hands free, pedal powered Hobie kayaks.

You can make a day of it. Go grab a lunch from the hotel to go, travel up or down river, and make sure you stop in at one of the nice sandy beaches along the river for a quiet picnic lunch. Then on your return you and the whole family can enjoy the ambience of Ravenswood, as the kids swim in the water, or play those wonderful kids games on one of the pedal boats

Ravenswood adventures is just waiting for you.
